FAMILY STRENGTH
CAMPAIGN

The Family Strength Campaign is a countywide public awareness, family strengthening,

and resource connection initiative designed to prevent child abuse and neglect

through increasing protective factors, elevating parent leadership,

and connecting families to community-based supports.

CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW

Funded by Alameda County Social Services, the Family Strength Campaign aims to organize outreach, education, and engagement activities around five protective factors:

  • Parental Resilience

  • Social Connections

  • Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development

  • Concrete Support in Times of Needs

  • Social and Emotional Competence of Children

Our goal is to empower parents, caregivers, community organizations, and trusted neighborhood infrastructure to become active partners in prevention. We recognize that families are more likely to seek support, engage with resources, and build resilience when information comes from trusted relationships and culturally relevant community settings.
