Our Clinical Training Program is built on (1) its commitment to training community psychologists, dedicated to expanding their range of consciousness including social class, culture and race; (2) the role of training and the training program in the agency’s mission, vision, and values, and (3) its commitment to foster youth with regard not only to innovations in program development and treatment, but also to training psychologists to work with them in the systems that they live in, and advocate for their needs.

The Predoctoral Clinical Training Program focuses on learning core skills for child and adolescent psychotherapy, family therapy, and psychological assessment. Interns begin to learn skills to work in the community as well, moving beyond the walls of traditional outpatient settings into places such as family homes, schools, and residential facilities. WestCoast's Predoctoral Clinical Training Program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and holds membership in the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC).

The Postdoctoral Residency Program in psychology has three emphasis areas: Psychotherapy, Psychological Assessment, and Transitional Age Youth. WestCoast's Postdoctoral Residency Program holds membership in the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) and the California Psychology Internship Council (CAPIC).
