Child psychotherapy is helpful for understanding and addressing difficulties in living that children and adolescents experience.  Therapy relies on the relationship between the therapist and the client to address vulnerabilities, develop and grow potential.  Children reveal their feelings and worries not only through words, but also through drawings, expressive arts, and play. Parents, family, social workers, and other important people are essential to making changes happen.  The goal of therapy is to help children build a durable sense of self, to help weather the inevitable ups and downs life brings.
